Excellent news,very well done Rob.I assume you'll be operating from Ripley.Where we used to live was directly under the flightpath between Ripley and Nottingham and the police helicopter was over many times during the day and night so I'm sure you'll be kept busy! :thumbsup: EricT

Thanks guys, the course starts in 2 weeks so not long to go :)

I'll try to be quiet Dave, I'll give you a wave. And yes Eric, my preferred base is Ripley although in theory as it's a secondment to a national service I can be placed anywhere. I do the course then work a few shifts a month to maintain currency until a permanent posting becomes available.

Although I'm currently elsewhere, I spent most of my service at Eastwood so I know that area like the back of my hand.

Can't stop smiling :)

Rob , Congratulations that's brilliant . Been following this real life drama from the beginning , heart in mouth and cheering you on . But admit it , you knew you were the best [ person ] for the job , and all your prep showed the selectors that was so !
