Yes it does, but what I find weird is that I have disabled it in the options, yet it is shown as active in the scenery config entry.

Regarding the shaders, the files are in:

C:\Users\*yourprofile*\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\Shaders

EDIT - okay - I found the Bathymetry entry in the Prepar3Dv2.cfg file is where it is disabled, so that is okay. Still seems weird to have two switches for it, but I suppose they must have their reasons.

Cleared the shader cache but it made little or no difference. I stlll need to set/reset the global texture to get autogen trees to display correctly.

I also find that minimising and restoring the window triples the fps.

Ho George,

How do you reset the global texture? I haven't seen that mentioned so must have missed something.

Settings->Image and Texture Quality->Texture Resolution. Set it to "Very Low" and accept then redo and set to "Ultra".

Cheers George, I'll give that a go

Looking like I'm going to go with a 2GB 770, but need to wait until after getting the new tyres for the car on Friday to see whats left over.

Chris Sykes wrote:Well my install downloaded in 20 mins (joys of new 70mb fibre :hide: ) and installed yesterday. Havent installed much into it yet, but it runs on my PC so the 2gb 560ti is Ok for now. I did have my p3d set to 20 fps but set unlimited it happily runs faster than that. Noticed blurries with the F-22 in both limited and unlimited fps, guess this is the 560ti being a bottleneck now as my i7 is running at 4.3 8) . Now for the transfering over from FSX. I did install the S2 Bucc but the weapons wont load so i guess thats the DLL required to be added. Just have to wait for ORBX to be updated to p3d.
Chris,

I found a workaround for ORBX...let me find it again and I'll get back to you...

I found that the latest version of Migration tool specifically for P3DV2 lets me install whatever I want, even Revolution X.

With respect to Scotflight, I've found a few problems. Just flown over West Freugh and Prestwick and there are a great many buildings missing. This presents Iain with a problem as GenX isn't licensed for commercial use, therefore shouldn't be used with P3D as P3D is a commercial only product. If Iain produces a product fix for GenX on P3D he could leave himself open to some sort of legal action, so I doubt he'd want to do that. :dunno:

With the Bucc the installer doesn't quite work properly if you point it at P3D as it makes an MSFS folder in the P3D folder, the best bet is to point the installer at a blank folder and then copy the resulting folders into the P3D root directory. Certainly that worked for me. Obviously the Buccaneer should only be used for educational purposes in P3D as we accept no liability if it's used for flight training...
