Easily distracted.... RL got in the way yesterday, and I forgot to post this.
No idea which captured or surrendered FW190A-3 this was, as the book didn't say, and there's very little scenery to tie it down.
Brian (Bridon Bear), Eric (Tomliner), AllanL, Mick (woody901), DaveG, Keith (Dev One), PeteP, Joe (blanston12) and Simon (simondix) all got it right, and everybody else didn't try.
EDIT: see post later today, bonus stars for those who added that bit extra.

Well done you all.

Having looked through the list of FW190s captured by the British, the only one of this model was Armin Faber's Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-3 of III/JG 2 (Wrknr 313). Faber apparently became disorientated and landed at RAF Pembrey in June 1942.
It's possible that the pilot in your photo is Wg Cdr (later Gp Capt) H J 'Willie' Wilson who was the Chief Test Pilot at Farnborough at the time. He later achieved fame by bringing the World Airspeed Record back to Britain in November 1945 by flying a Meteror IV at and average speed of 606 mph around a course off the north Kent coast.

OK Pete,
I haven't found that list, but I fully trust your findings.
Bridon Bear, DaveG and you all tendered the same story, and seeing as there was extra detail from you three, I'm bestowing bonus stars on you.

An unfortunate angle in this shot, as it blocked the cockpit canopy, causing a bit of strife.
Despite this, PeteP, Mick (woody901), Simon (simondix) starred by getting it in one go.

Brian (Bridon Bear) receives gold, for his Martinet, changed to Master III,
and same for Keith for his assumed typo contribution of Martinet III
Thanks for being in it, hope you enjoyed it

Good spotting everyone

Allan also typed his version of the life and times of the Don, gaining a bonus star.

Mick (woody901), PeteP, Brian (Bridon Bear), Joe (blanston12), Keith (Dev One), Simon, AllanL and Ben (TSR2) all scored diamond badges for the Bede BD5J. By strange coincidence, Simon mentioned "beady eye", which was a good match for "Bede"
..and here's the other shot which I nearly used, but thought it was too tough:
