Sendspace IS a complete nightmare. The last time Nev tried to send me something via there, I couldn't find it.. the actual file link being completely camouflaged by other 'DOWNLOAD' or 'DOWNLOAD YOUR FILE HERE' buttons :| One would hope that uploading isn't so traumatic though in the end, it doesn't matter much if the recipient can't find the download file anyway :lol:

I forgot how to read that area of the config. I remembered tonight,
It's all measurements.
I tried the default Lear numbers but , the wheels sunk into the runway on landing, so I settled on half ,--- for now...
Joe.. I posted my section earlier in the thread and my wheels.. to the best of my knowledge, don't sink halfway into the deck. What the hell have you changed?? :lol:

EDIT: The wheels don't sink half into the ground on landing or at any other time Joe.. I've just checked again. Here is my [contact_points] section with the TWO values already changed. Just bin yours and put this one in its place..

I was going to video record the replay of the gear sinking into tarmac when I made TD.
but then I thought , naw naw they'll believe me... :doh:

I made the changes how what you done it! .. just settled on different numbers ... which are working,
so I'm not binning my cfg. I like mine ... I keep. But I do thank you kindly for the help. ; )

It's just a case of
, It'd been awhile since I messed around in the FSX cfg. :shhh:
-When Mr. G refered to them by noun... I was looking for nouns, man. :S

I've no idea if you've made changes to the FSX.cfg, to the aircraft.cfg or both.. if your aircraft is sinking into the tarmac (on landing or otherwise) or not. However, you appear to be happy :wasntme:

Dave,

There are no contact point in the FSX config file found in the app data folder. I was j/k

When Dave G mentioned damping ratio and front wheel I looked for a line under [contact points]
like

[contact_points]
static_pitch = 0.000
static_cg_height= 6.700
gear_system_type=1
damping ratio = 5.6
. that's what I thought I should see. I'd forgotten that the Damping ratio word isn't used
like static_cg_height= 6.700

The damping ratio has to be adjusted at each point of contact. thus
point.0
point.1
