Hi Chaps,
Knocked up two shapes in FSDS V3.
BMP created in PSP V4.
Applied textures. FSDS allows making an Object or an Aircraft.

EDIT 1:32pm AEST FSDS lets you create the bgl directly.
Then go to project properties and type in the co-ords and elevation. It's not like SAMM2, which finds ground level for you at the chosen co-ords.
It placed the hut on target, and it looks better than the screenshots. Problem was uneven ground, so it was part buried, and IS2 for some reason not yet discovered, would not access the object. Wasn't happy about the file location non-active status.
Have to do a client job, so I'll poke around later in the day. Catch up later. :)

An easy way to set location and height - land a chopper where you want the object and save a flight. In FSDS you can import that flights details including elevation.

Righto Nev,
From what you've seen, does it need extras, like gutters, downpipes, verandah posts etc? Have you seen other photos? What about the colour? Our primary school was similar construction. The boards were creosoted.
So that you can play with it, I will upload a bgl to Airspeed's Flying Visit (click on the blue circle icon next to PM) Its current location is 20S 140E, half buried in the ground. Had other stuff to deal with tonight and I have an early appointment 50 kms out of town. I'll be back!

Chaps,

I'm not sure what I've done, but I'm now seeing the default airport buildings at EGAC showing through on my airport. These aren't autogen, but the buildings from the default airport, but not all of the buildings. The excludes for Autogen seem fine, I've no idea how these are breaking through... :wall:

If you use ADE and start from the default, the buildings will be displayed. Just select and delete them.

Another possibility i that they are in one of the OBX* (nor Orbx ;) )files.

Hi George,

Yes, I started a new file based on the default and deleted all of the objects, but it seems to have left some. It did this before in the earlier version, I added some piles of coal and then removed them again, but even though they didn't show in ADE they were still there in the sim. I guess it must be some sort of bug :wall:

Mike,

Got it thanks, needs to be about half the length and no verandah, it was almost black in colour from the creosote with a green felt roof. Please. :hide:

I doubt it Ben.

The main thing to realise is that after making your initial changes to the default file, you need to "save" it as well as compile to bgl.

Subsequent modifications should be made by loading the .ad2 file, not the .bgl.
