Hi All
Hawk progressing still but much slower.
been battling with High altitude performance without messing up the low altitude performance
which has been hard to say the least.
Anyway it now seems to hit the numbers i can find although in 5 books i have 5 sets of figures but the trouble is the T1 has the puny engine
at only 5240 lb static thrust but it also has the lowest MTOW so it seems to be faster than later Hawks
Anyway will see how the beta is recieved on the Skysim stand at Duxford on Sunday and go from there.
Any of you RAF Techies tell me what colour the steps are ?.
At scampton some where Green and some where what i would call Aircraft Grey. (steps not yet finished!)
Regards
Rick

Rick,
I'd like to tell you what colour the steps are, but the one time I climbed some it was the last thing on my mind! Seriously though it looks awesome, although I'm slightly scared you found the limit for number of animations in the cockpit!

I would say green...with areas of chipping where the original yellow is now showing through!!

Hi Skip
what you have to remember mate is for example
1 of the Altimeters comprises of
3 Needles
5 altitude number drums
4 Kholsman drums
1 kohlsman knob
thats 13 animated parts and the aircraft has 4 Altimeters in total
CWP has
16 working warning lamps and a working test switch
& 2 attention getters
1 of the Nav Radios has 7 animated parts
5 freq drums
2 knobs
The HSI has 12 animated parts
GDI
GSI
3 Distance drums
3 Course drums
2 adjustable pointers
2 Knobs
it soon gets into huge numbers
I just wanted the cockpit to feel like sitting in a Hawk which i am informed it does
this is why the model will be seat select when you load.
so when you pick which you want to fly you pick Front or Rear
Not sure if it is a limit as there is no error message saying a limit has been reached
in future i will 3d anumate all needles but use projected gauges for number drums & radios
to make it more managable.
Regards
Rick

Rick,
I see your problem! I take it you know each CWP lamp has two bulbs
Does the seat selection affect sharing the aircraft in multi-player?

Hi Skip
yes i know it has 2 bulbs (using textures so not a problem) texture is made from lamps that where lit at Scampton.
No idea about cockpit sharing mate as it's not at all clear in the SDK
if it woks in the Realair SF260 it should work in the Hawk as that has a seperate model for each seat (a seperate aircraft.cfg at least).
there is not much i can do about it if not as there is not enough time to me to try to decipher the sdk on multiplayer sharing.
I hope it works.

Rick

Hi Skip
I just shocked myself taking a shot of the CWP to show if it looks like the real one.
Pleased with this one

Rick
Real CWP not showing Oil or Gen as it has it's Adour removed in thet shot and it's remonced me that AC.3 is disabled on Real Hawk T1

Rick,
That looks awesome, possibly better than real life!
