Thats bl00dy tempting DG. The snag is with Daisy being not quite 2, shes in the "everything must be tested to destruction" phase, which precludes me purchasing anything that hasn't managed to survive re-entry from space. Today I've had a beautiful piece of crayon artwork completed on the tv screen.

Good for Daisy ! At least there will be something worth looking at on the TV - doesn't happen often, these days.

Ah yes.. don't ya just love 'em at that age Don't worry Ben.. when she's through with the crayons, she'll choose something else to annoy you with and on it will go

Well, after an agonising wait which seemed like a lifetime, and no thanks to the good old British weather, I took the Radian up for its maiden today.

Did five launches and landings to get a feel for the aircraft.

Flights went very well. Certainly a much more relaxed and slow way of flying with such a large wingspan.

Really enjoyed it. Although still a fraction too windy making conditions less than ideal.

It floats like nothing I've flown before. I spent most of the time with no throttle and just enjoyed watching it hover and practically stop in the air

Really looking forward to a warmer and calmer day where I'm gonna get up high and hopefully hit a few thermals.

I'll defiantely be putting the camera on it as well.

Excellent Eddie I've had the Champ up this morning too.. it wasn't perfect but calm enough to have her sitting head into the wind going nowhere Looking forward to seeing some 'live' action from the Radian

Just back from the field myself Still windy but dry so just took the Greensleeve (2m powered glider) and spacewalker ep
Bit blowy for the spacewalker so only chanced one flight Better success with the glider, flattened 3 packs till prop shot off the end of the motor. Spent 1/2 hr looking for it but looks like its a new one from giant cod

Hope they're not expensive Dale Looking at the forecast for the next few days.. it looks like today will be it for a while I hope the little indoor micro helicopter turns up in time to save me

This is the second prop that gone awol Greensleeve "kit" came with brushed motor fitted to run off nimh cells The performace in reviews was rated as marginal So first job was to replace motor with brushless variety and run off 3 cell lipo On fitting the prop and testing the prop shot off the motor shaft (It grips only on a tapered collet) straight into the front gate smashing into pieces Ordered an new one froms cods only about £4. Fitted "securely" and down to the field. Motor test and prop comes off again Now in danger of stripping the thread on the collet (only alloy ) so decided to retain it on the shaft with a drop of super glue ( always keep some in your flight box) Been ok till today when superglue gave up

The Eagle has landed.. though I didn't land it there!

Control is neither here nor there. It doesn't do to fart around with it.. do it or fail The flight time is woeful unfortunately but it is heavier than the champ with a similarly powered battery so I guess this is to be expected. I CAN make it do stuff which is nice.. so much so I want a bigger version now

I'm charging it from the txer here.. it comes with a tiny charge socket plus a USB connector and spare blades! Oh, and a mini screwdriver too
