Brian Franklin wrote:Indeed it was.. good catch. Tried to reproduce the format for the vid but using Premier the output file was HUGE! many GB so I opted for the Windows Movie Maker version instead. Not so eye-catching and lost lots of details but you get the picture.

The music is by a guy who plays live in the streets here in Chester. Ed Alleyne-Johnson, well worth a look.

I'm a big fan of Ed Alleyne-Johnson, I discovered him a few months back busking in York, now whenever I'm in town I make it a mission to wonder around a bit just to see if he's playing at any of his usual haunts. He uses effects and live sampling in some of the most innovative ways I've seen, and that includes amongst the guitarist fraternity as well.

I have to say the Hawk T1/A is truly excellent!! I regard the SkySim Hawk and the Nemeth Bros EC-135 as this year's Cadbury Cream Egg and Easter Cakes... they don't come around often but are well worth waiting for!

I have to draw attention to one small thing though (I feel bad even bringing it up!)... The view from the rear cockpit is amazing, bar one thing, the top of the ejection seat in the front cockpit. Normally, who on Earth would care about the detail on the top of an ejection seat!! But in the case of the Hawk the instructor sits so high up that most of the time the top of the student's seat is right in his field of view. This is especially the case on finals, when attention is focused through the canopy ahead and the top of the front seat is right in the foreground. The top of the seat looks like it currently has just one texture. Would it be possible to modify this with more textures and detail to help trick the brain? I believe the top of the real seat may be covers for parachute packing, plus straps?? If so, perhaps some bump mapping could help it look more 3D. In any other aircraft I wouldn't even think of raising this point, so please forgive me!

Looking forward to many happy hours MP flying with student and instructor cockpit sharing. Perhaps there is even potential for developing some MP missions... how about 4 person MP with 1 vs. 1 ACM, or 4-or-more person MP with multiple aircraft strike missions, with time-on-target being the goal (i.e. everyone approaching the target from different directions and arriving within a few seconds of the designated time)? Discuss...

Enough for now...

Andy

Hi Andy

the seat you are seeing in the VC is the temporary one from the JP T Mk5 & not the Mark 10 that will be there.

same as the pilot figures and lots of other parts.

thats why it's a beta

Rick

Hi guys, that MP function (two people in one aircraft) is one of the true enhancements in FSX, maybe someone could offer a virtual CFS, rather like Hovercontrol have for rotary wing students.
As far as the seat goes, even at this stage it is better than most projects around at the moment. When it is finished, this Hawk will re-write the book on payware jets in MSFS. I just hope that the FS9 version sees the light of day and it will not be left behind now FSX has at last started to take over as sim of choice.

Hi Mate

they all will.

you cannot fly the Hawk from only the rear seat or at least it's not done.

all will be front seat with a rear seat option if that makes sense ???.

As Far as the Reds are concerned i don't know because Anything Red Arrows is copyright.

I will be removing those liveries from the base pack.
they will be a free download addon as i promised John @ RAF Scampton :$

I just painted temoporary beta liveries which are very unfinished & not ready for public Consumption :$

Regards
Rick
