Yes, I flew this one in 1971 when I was a mere (EEK... late edit.... change that to 20 year old)!! though I can remember flying the Beagle Pup in June 1974 about three or four weeks after the Flixborough disaster.
I flew it with John Harris who was an instructor at my Gliding Club at Swinderby and also an AEO on the Vulcans with 617 Squadron, he was taking me on a nav exercise and we decided to fly over to Flixborough where I took some photographs of the devasted site before continuing to the Humber Estuary before returning.
So this aircraft must have been brought back at some point after 1972. Unless of course I was flying a different one that had replaced G-AZCK as I did not have a SPL then so therefore and stupidly, did not log my hours or the reg of the aircraft. Just keeping my hand in for the time when I could afford to go for a PPL.
