Hi mate, Ben away from the forum for a bit, life gets in the way! Well done, we've quite a few coming to have a flight before the flight tests. None of the actual tests are being done in our place though, the northern tests are been held at Barton. Not sure if that'd make a difference.

It's alright mate, sorry, I forgot to reply to your PM.
I've got mine at CCAOU and have arranged a mock run at North Mids beforehand thanks to a very kind contact there. Quite worried about this stage, I kind of knew what to expect with the paper tests, well, could guess, but I'll be totally out of my usual comfort zone in the air!
I hope the weather is good for my trial run and I'll be able to get a bit of a heads up about what to expect, I really really want this job!
I'm studying the OS maps for the area around Wolverhampton as I don't know the area at all but I'm sure it'll all look totally different from above. Looking at the pass rate for the ground assessment I've done well to pass which can only be a good sign, I'm the only one who passed for our units area so I'll be disappointed in myself if I let myself down now I've come this far!
Rob.

Well done to get this far, I really thought you may have missed the boat with a late application. If you don't get it then don't blame yourself, referring you back to my last, it is not always the best that get these postings, often its favours being returned. I'm sure you are the right stuff. All the best at any rate. Do you know how many got through the first round and how many vacancies there are?

I'm told 260 applied, 60 passed the application of which 22 have passed the ground assessment.
I'm not sure on spaces but I know I'm the only one from my force to have passed.

I was led to believe before I left they were on about recruiting 30 this year?

I think that sounds about right, there's this campaign for a course in May and another towards the end of the year for a second course so I understand.
