Like the Cessna, would be a good step up model . FMS make em powerful enough to take off from grass Sometimes slightly larger wheels helps. Usually have to remove the spats Go for it Dave you know you want one

Don't encourage me Dale.. not that I need any encouragement

I happened to be taking SWMBO to B&Q in Cannock today and thought it an opportune moment to drop another hint about the helicopter. 'Couldn't we carry on down here to the RC shop and I could get a helicopter to fly in the back garden?'. 'Wait until you get a job first' came the reply. That's all the approval I need

Dave if you go the heli route get the twin main rotor type much easier to fly the single rotor that I had was a bitch .....and it crashes with utmost ease, I didnt even have to try

The Blade 120SR is a compromise mate. It has one main rotor but below it, another small one called a Flybar which gives it additional stability. It's basically a 'sporty' little helicopter which is suitable for beginners or those moving up from twin rotor types

This said.. I got a 'flyer' from Ebuyer this morning advertising 10x Duracell batteries for £1.99 (or something like that) so I had a look and below, in the 'customers who bought this frequently bought this too' bit and saw a little micro twin rotor jobbie so I've ordered both

Am I an easy sell or what

Point is, I was going to buy 2 packs of batteries and forgot to buy the second pack

Never mind.. got a micro helicopter instead

I really need a job and soon. I can sit here all day without supervision adding to basket

I've got 2 rc helis.
A Walkera 4#3 indoor jobbie that I use to scare the missus
http://www.rc-airplane-world.com/walkera-4-3B.html
And a larger Align T-rex 450xl that I fly in the garden
http://rc-helicopters-toy.blogspot.co.u ... 450xl.html
Not much good at flying them though. I can hover ok, but things tend to get a bit out of control if I try anything fancy
Fun though

That Walkera is like a scaled down version of the Blade 120SR.. similar in fact to the Blade mSR

Neither of the above are cheap so I'm hoping to do all my crashing in the little tiddler from Ebuyer

In the meantime Dave, you could always consider the Champ

Don't tempt me Dave
I keep looking at
Al's Hobbies, but I don't think Helen would approve

Ah yes.. the Mosquito

I'm saddened to say that this little tinker is compatible with the txer I got with the Champ.. yet another temptation I can ill afford
Tell Helen you're buying it for a friend who wants one and isn't sure if he'll like it or not so you're testing it for me

No.. I don't think she'd fall for that either
EDIT:.. I've just had to have a look at the data for it

At 74g, it's almost double the weight of the Champ (38g) so should be a little more stable and less prone to doing it's own thing

Wingspan is 2" shorter than the Champ believe it or not (I didn't but I do now)
