Hi Gordon, I hoped you might see this post!
The current market trend is for an FS9 version to come out first, why not set a new standard and release the FSX version when it is ready and follow it with an FS9 version. That way you can have two lots of free publicity at the big download sites. I am sure FS9 users will be happy to wait for a stripped down version if it cost a little less than the full one. It would take the pressure of Rick to backward engineer the FSX version before the package is released.
Do you have a vacancy for a marketing man BTW

DROOL!!!
My critical eye (partly due to being a former UK college lecturer teaching video making techniques) makes me think this video was actually shot in wide screen format and then 'shrunk' to fit a standard 4:3 format. For some reason all the VC gauges look egg shaped and the AC looks foreshortened in spot view. I am SURE Rick didn't build it that way! :o

If it was shot in 16:10 format I would love to see a version done that way.
Nevertheless it was fun to watch and it is certainly on my 'I want' list.

If you don't mind me asking Brian what settings are you using in the sim graphics wise, and have you got any FSX.cfg tweaks active?

Indeed it was.. good catch. Tried to reproduce the format for the vid but using Premier the output file was HUGE! many GB so I opted for the Windows Movie Maker version instead. Not so eye-catching and lost lots of details but you get the picture.
The music is by a guy who plays live in the streets here in Chester. Ed Alleyne-Johnson, well worth a look.
