Just 'the bee's knees!'

Curious old saying that, anyone know how it originated? Younger members, I have grandsons of 9 & 4, would probably exclaim 'cool' or whatever the newest buzzword is in fashion.

Thanks chaps, I will keep the progress reports coming when there is something significant to see. Hobby, I believe the latest buzzword out here is 'sick' which is one I personally can't stomach and I'm only 29!

Steve, looking better with every progress shot, can't wait to get my hands on doing some AI with her on a carrier.
Hopefully you got my PM on this a wee while ago.

I agree with the latest buzzwords, my son lives in the USA and everything is "sick" or "gay" (not as in a gay person though)

Just the other day he came out with a new one, in his summer job he said he "was making the jack" I had to ask of course,

"making the money" totally new one on this old geezer.

Ok Skippy I'll bite..........."all about the Benjamins" ??

My my, I've been out of the UK for so long now. I remember reading a while ago of the local town to Culdrose.........Helston, and today
how it's become the home of "Chavs"........I thought urrrrr ok what the hell is a "Chav" I had to google it to fine out lol.

So many new sayings.....I wonder in today's RN if they still use the same kind of slang we did

"Shave off"
"In the rattle"
"Get ya hat"
"Dhoby night"
Sunday was a visit to the "Sinbosun"
Gash Flight

Fun to think back.

And I'm sure I can think of a few more time given time lol.

Yes indeed, Seaking, I got your PM and would love to see her gracing the decks as AI or other. The latest is I have the fuselage intake vents semi-working, at least they open and close as needed, but I need to code them to stay closed on engine shutdown. She now has working guns, 95% of texturing is finished, and I will be moving onto payloads next. As soon as that's all done, it's painting time! :welldone:

**UPDATE: here is the payload for the FGA.6:

(working guns too - recognise these, Hobby?)

The reason for the missing pilot is either:

-Aliens beamed him out of his seat

-Hawker is testing the long-forgotten U.7 unmanned drone version of the Sea Hawk.

Answers on the back of a postcard addressed to CBFSIM.

Seriously, I have one courtesy of Skippy, but have not yet added it for texturing reasons. The final versions WILL have one though! I'm still not entirely satisfied with the model either; as many of you have no doubt noticed, the rear fuselage 'spine' is too sharp and needs rounding out more. That's my next priority before returning to the payloads.

You got me drooling now Steve, can't wait to see a whole line of 'em. This one will be great fun doing AI for it.
A truly amazing job.
