And I've just remembered that CB used to recommend the bundles from Overclockers:

Well eventually I went down the route I used to take and bought parts from ebuyer, which arrived yesterday. Probably the main mistake I did make was to attempt to think "forward" and get Vista rather than XP.
It looks very nice but it wont let you do anything! I cant get my BB modem working with it (even with alleged Vista drivers), so I have set up my old PC, which is on its last legs, so I can access the wider world

Well got it fixed and here I am, coming to you live from Windows Vista... it certainly looks a lot nicer than the Fisher Price OS (WinXP)
