Well done, Pringle! Bring some sanity into the discussion  Thanks for those links, I'm going to get myself a coffee and work through them.

Meanwhile, here's a taster for the '07 MotoGP season. What a boy!

I have to agree that bikes are far better to watch than F1 these days and have been for years. You'd think the F1 organisers would pull their fingers out...

Even bike racing has gone slightly downhill for me, the late 80's and early 90's with terrible handling two-strokes and their tiny powerbands was great fun to watch.

These two legandary figures and their, somethimes quite personal, battles made for a great drama.

Road Racing is also a great spectacle, they must be completly mental. Even the best aren't invincible:

You don't know what a full size Ian looks like, so how could you know what a dwarf Ian looks like?

I also have switched off Formula One. I have started to get a wee bit interested in young Mr Rossi in Moto GP though.

When I think back (yes I am that old) to the days of Jim Clark that's when guys were drivers. They would compete in Formula One, Two as well as Indianapolis and in Jim's case do rallying and hill climbs in their spare time.

High time the got back to the days where you all started with a tank of fuel and four tyres and raced to the end. If you needed to make a pit stop, then you just had to catch up......something Jim Clark did in a Formula 2 race when he unlapped himself after a puncture.

Cheers

What a great game Grand Prix Legends was/is. Not sure if the following over at Racesim Central is still strong but i assume it is. Remember spending hours upon hours trying to break the 1:30 barrier at Monza in my little Brabham.

Back to bikes though, looking forward to seeing that Ducati at Mugello, the speed difference between that and the Yamaha was incredible!

I've watched the motor-bike racing a few times and although found it interesting cannot for the life of me understand why they put a camera behind the rider so that all you see is a great big arse shifting from one side to the other.........Are they trying to say "Does my bum look big in this?" :dunno:
