Do you also remember the Commodore 128?
Very sofisticated with a built-in 5 1/4 drive.
I still have mine

Hi Nils

Yes I do....too expensive for me

The only Commodore I had was the VIC 20 and that was all of 1K.

It could be expanded to either 3K of 5K.......I think

All plugged into a colour Television

The 128 and the Amiga were allso too expensive for me, but I did some programming work for Commodore and they paid me by giving me hardware

That worked out well.

Bit like my ex wife...I did lots of work for her and she paid me with a hard time

Do you remember Blitz Tonks

On the VIC 20.....the little black biplane and you had to try and bomb down the skyscrapers below the level of the next pass or you crashed into them.

Quite amazing graphics for a 1K machine

I played that for hours

And no one ever asked if it had a VC

All my friends had Amigas as kids but my parents were more worried about me doing something boring rather than playing games. I think it was called 'learning' or something, I can't remember.

I had a BBC and then a couple of Acorns before switching to the PC.

The BBC is still boxed up in the loft somewhere and this thread has made me very tempted to go and fish it out. I think i'll leave it there though, the memories of playing Repton and other great games will be ruined if I play them again and realise they're actually crap...
