I've read about that proplem somewhere, so it shouldn't be too hard to find...some small corrections in the XML needed. Same should go for smoke or was it contrails?
Didn't get either on my short test-flight so I couldn't say what the problem seems to be here.

I seem to remember that there was also something new in FSX that prevented the starters to "take on" ....have to look into this as I can't seem to be confident with starting a new flight in a full running aircraft with all lights on....

That is what I would call a minor bug ;-)
maybe something with setting the correct variables in the XML somewhere... those kind of things can be dealt with somehow..I would rather prefer that main things worked right away, but fully compatible with older add-on's is not quite the issue....
Would be nice to have an auto-update like the one you get with Visual Studio when you open an application developed in an older version of the VS....that would be cool! Run the old aircraft through the box and get a more or less converted one out the other end, with more or less TODO's left...would spare the developers quite a bit of work I guess?...
Well I might be dreaming....

Hi chaps.
To clear up the puzzle of cockpit windows in FSX.
The Super VC10 update (late December) made that 3d model FSX compatible, so it has cockpit glass in FSX (still not as good as in FS9 though).
All the other models (including Standard & C1K VC10) will not have any cockpit glass in FSX.
All my models were 2004 SDK compliant (especially the panels) sadly the 'backwards compatible' FSX isn't. :huf:
