Hi John,

Tried several times to get them from the pond, but each time the file downloads in miliseconds.with "0" kb and results in an error message from my winzip - no files to process. might be just me?

All is not lost however, got this latest great batch from Avsim this a.m.

Many thanks, sixth hangar now full - have set Bob the Builder's sister on again

Hi Graham,

Thats's odd. I may have messed it up trying to edit out a '/' in the title after the initial upload. Anyhow, I'm sending the file again to Otter's Pond and will double check after it's uploaded. Thanks for the heads-up.

Hi Graham,

Well, I re-uploaded the file and alas it's still not working yet. First aid required by Rob I think.

I am quite sure that the "Aquatic Beastie" will oblige John.

I'll have a look into it guys, sorry about that.

It would appear that it is letting the files download completely before the download dialog box pops up.

It is working but you don't know you're downloading it until it's finished...

I think anyway.

I may be a few hours though as i'm just in the middle of sorting something out.

Hi John/Rob..

Still a problem at the pond guys. Seeing exactly what Graham was. It waits ages and seems to do nowt. Hit the download button and eventually the 'save' box appears. Filesize is 0kb and the zip is empty

No matter.. will go and queue over at Avsim :crying:

Sorry about this one guys.

Up until a month or so ago, unknown to me, the server was splitting the files into parts and storing them in the database tables for download.

A database of many multiple gigabytes was slowing the rest of the site so I made it add upload them as straight files to the servers structure.

Seems we are still having teething problems at the moment.

All files uploaded by the old method are still fine but newer ones are having a problem

John was one of the few testing the new system for me, it's great in that those I trust can add files straight away without them being validated and bad in the fact they don't seem to work correctly...

I'm on it and trying to work out a fix.

John, if you would be so kind as to upload it manually the old way i'll add it myself.

Seems we can join the ranks of the big two sites this week in that all of us are having problems.

Shame that they have teams of programmers to fix things and I have just me

Normal service shall hopefully be resumed shortly, once this is fixed I shall be starting to add some new features and attract more visitors (I hope...)

Thanks, as always, for your patience and support.
