I keep getting a dreaded g2d.dll failure causing a CTDT with this scenery, it was fine for the first two days. I will visit the Glacier Bay forum tomorrow and see if anyone else has it :dunno:

Trev,

If you have installed McLeland Field as well as GBv2 then there will be AFCAD conflicts unless you have attended to them. These can cause a CTD. If you have downloaded my updates from here:-

http://www.petermcleland.com/dl/McLFiel ... orGBv2.zip

http://www.petermcleland.com/dl/McLFiel ... rcraft.zip

http://www.petermcleland.com/dl/Patchfo ... inLake.zip

Then the readme in the first one explains about how to use the AFCADs...The ones I supply there are identical to the ones in GBv2 but with a few extra parking slots on each...However, you MUST either have the GBv2 ones active or mine active NOT BOTH. Also your original McLeland Field will have had the odd AFCAD with the name starting "PMc_" and they might still be there. The ones to check are:-

2Y3
A67
A68
A70
ELV
PAYA

The best way to check is to use AFCAD 2.1 and load each in turn by inputting the name as above into the Airport ID slot.

Each airport should have only 2 entries...One Stock and One Mod...If you have more than one Mod then the extras must be disabled. Load each mod in turn into AFCAD and then go File > Properties...the file name and location in you system will show in the window. Choose which one to disable and go there...Rename it to "FileName.bgl.dis". That file will no longer load and you can check again in AFCAD 2.1 that you now only have 1 Stock and 1 Mod. The slight exception is the McLeland Field will have 0 Stock and 2 Mod, but that is correct as examination will reveal that one of those Mods is actually Stock and can not be written to.

You will also find the odd one like Mountain Lake (ML1) and McLeland Seaplane Base (PAMF) that have 0 Stock and 1 Mod...This is OK too :worried:

Peter, to my shame, I have not yet installed your airfield  , but thanks for the detailled advice.

I also have this crash with Portland 02, its designers cannot find the problem there! I get around it by avoiding summer or winter seasons, which do not cause the crash.
I have no duplicate AFCADs as I do not normally fly 'up north' (but do have an old review copy of Freight Dogs), yes I did let the installer know about Freight Dogs.
It has worked fine for the past two load ups, so I can live with it. As I have all sliders maxed out, I do get a stutter around the complex airports and towns, but apart from that, it is the best freeware scenery I have seen in years.
