That's how I read it too Ian!!
This may seem a very simplistic attitude but to my way of thinking.. CS wanted the 757 released when the model was far from finished. There is another version (or was) in the form of BlockA and users of this version can upgrade to BlockB whereupon they'll receive a refund of either $9.99 or $19.99.. whatever it was they paid  Why anyone would want to upgrade to a version that remains 'incomplete' is beyond me but there you go.
I may be wrong here but the next upgrade path is for Block 300 which, as far as I can tell, is the 757-300 version. Once more.. another payment thank you very much. Yet another one for the collection is Block Freighter.. obvious what this is.
So.. what do we have.
Block A is now gone
Block B is the BASE Standard model
Block 300 is listed as 757-300 Expansion Model
Block Freighter is listed as 757 Freighter Expansion Model
Separate to the above but which work with all comes..
Block C.. ACE utility
Block D.. Custom Flight Model (supports advanced systems)
Block E.. Custom Soundset
Block F.. Advanced Systems Programming.
Blocks D and F are not yet released but will.. like the other bits, cost. The custom flight model will apparently mean that it's no longer a default 737 in different clothes and 'Advanced Systems Programming' means that all the buttons and knobs that don't work at the moment
will work!! Oh.. and you'll then get a full manual too!
I can't see if you need Block B in order to make Block300 and BlockFreighter work but as for the rest.. I don't think I've ever seen such a blatant excuse to get money out of the end user. Even if you
don't need Block B in order to make 300 or Freighter work, you will have to buy one or all of the other bits if you want the model to be authentic and fully functional. The more I read about it, the more I wish I could send a brace of Tridents over (the 'Go Bang' variety) :axe:
