WR470 is G-DHVM which was G-GONE which was J-1542 of the Swiss Air Force! She is in reality an FB.50 masquerading as an FB.1 however as Peter points out, WR470 was actually an FB.4. I'm not sure why she was painted like this as it was done before we bought her.
She is currently the only flying Venom in the UK, Kennet’s example not having flown for some time now.

My bad , I thought a/. it was a vampire and b/. that they were fitted with Goblins , cant think why :roll:
Proteus on the Britannia did very similar on occasion - but having a much longer jet pipe the effect was a little more spectacular - especially at night

I've seen a Viscount do that and it reached the tailplane.
Also was sat in the back of a 748 that let out 3 nice white puffs then a lovely ball of flame as the engine miss-started :shock:

Our whirlwind has been known to do that quite often- just about every time we've tried to start it since the move from elvington in fact!
