Well this was "chrome armchair" a lovely bike that I had for 3 years, but sore hands due to polishing it more than riding it meant it had to go

the last picture before she was sold. I must admit I miss her but she was a handful to ride!

To replace it I wanted something comfy, not so clean hungry, also shaft drive with weather protection. I looked around and after a lot of searching plumped for a new Honda 700 Deauville. ABS and combined braking system means it stops quick and safe, it's a very nice bike that is fun (honest) to ride enough poke from the lump to get me into trouble! but smooth. I have added lower engine guard, front fender extender, top box hand visors, extra running lights (like to be noticed by cars!!) brake light in topbox.
other than that she is standard!!
sadly I have no decent pictures of her yet but this is pretty much identical to mine in everyway

Here's one of mine, a K6 B12 (the bikers know what that is  ) doing an 11.2 at Santa Pod.

The other one is a '49Triumph in the process of a rebuild

Hi Stu

Thats a very good time for a standard Bandit 1200.

Nice choice of colour matey.

I once had a Black Bandit 1200N too.
(front tyre was just for parking)

Yes Rick, that's what I thought, sadly it's nothing to do with power. It only shows 95hp on the dyno

Also there's a restriction that alters the ignition timing in the first three gears, so the newer ones aren't the wheelie machines the older ones were.

But it does make fast getaways a lot easier

Funny you mention Bandits. I had a couple of lads in the pub on Tue (I think it was) from Stoke. One of them was telling me that a standard B12 will wheelie at 120mph NO PROBLEM. His of course will wheelie at 150 as he has a pile of trick bits on.

No.. that wasn't the beer talking either :tuttut:   :-#

Wasn't Craig Jones was it Dave? He is a midlander that I really wouldn't doubt could do that.

I have seen him on the Buell.
