I wonder if I am missing something...?
In the panel of the Wessex there's an ominous black space just over the autopilot (bottom left in picture on link below). Should there be something there?
Plus - are there instructions for this autopilot - I don't seem to be able to make it work??
Otherwise its a beautiful looking bird.

The ominous black space is where the Autopilot settings will be displayed. If you set 1000ft and a heading of 060* then this is where it will be displayed.JohnWillimas wrote:I wonder if I am missing something...?

I'll get the autopilot instructions and ensure they'r posted on the Simshed site and include them in the Download zip file. Apologies for not including it .. I guess we assumed most 'Rotorheads' already use this autopilot!!
Regards
Jim

I was finally able to get some time to test out the Wessex today and I must say I'm thoroughly impressed. I added Nick's "All Wet" and "Prop Dust" addons to give better hovering effects and that's the only change I feel it needs. The only question I have is why the autopilot only works for heading hold at all speeds. If I attempt to use altitude hold or VS hold I instead get a pitch lock which means that I have to set my cruise speed and attitude before activating the autopilot unless I slow the helo to something like 60 knots and bring the power off that much. It's not a bit deal, but I was wondering why this is. If it's realistic that way, then great, I'll leave it be. If it's something else, I'll tinker with it a bit and see if I can't get it to my liking.
