Has anyone played this along with Strike Fighters Project 1/Wings Over Vietnam? If so how does Wings Over Europe compare, have there been any improvements?

It's an evolutionary step up. It still retains almost 100% backwards compatibility with previous versions. It's got refinements in the program here and there, some new features (like CCIP and better weapon guidance protocol to allow for you to scale how good the weapon is from "poor" to "excellent" in hitting its target) but it's not anything massively better. I do admit that the newest version has smoother graphics that WoV, so they've done a good job of continuing to refine the processes to run faster and look better.

Thanks Chris. How are the campaigns? I used to love playing SF:P1 for the single player instant action missions but the campaigns all seemed a bit bland after a couple of flights.

The default campaigns still tend to be somewhat repetitive, but the AI has been greatly improved so you're able to do more with your wingmen than on SFP1 and WoV. Not only that, but there are some awsome addon campaigns available. And with WoE when you install it, you have the option of merging your SFP and/or WoV installations into one WoE installation, which is definitely a huge plus.

[Shameless Plug] Incidentally if you like British jets there's a Sea Vixen knocking around for it at avsim and combatace. [/Shamless Plug]
