Thanks for the comments chaps! The reason it came into Manchester was to pickup stage and lighting equipment for a concert in Lagos via Libya for a tech stop.
It's takeoff weight on the day was 520 tonnes, with a maximum take off weight in the region of 620 tonnes. It took over an hour to push back and start up. The reason being is it carries it's own huge tow bar, which after push back needs to be stowed back on the aircraft. This requires the aircraft to go through the nose opening procedure and lower the ramps, a sight in its self. Then it started all six engines and taxied off.
Don't think I will ever dispatch an aircraft like that again. I believe it's going to East Mids on the 11th to drop the equipment off, so if your free go over and see it.
