Hi Scott

I will take a look over the weekend.

not noticed the prop discs problem on the 700 but it's easy to fix.

will try to get it sorted this weekend.

Main problem is i have evolved the 700 to have doors & steps like the 800 has and also some nose shaping was done so it might be a mission to release.

Regards
Rick

Ah hadn't noticed that....perhaps V4 is a general standard so that you know the each of the V4 is matched...if you follow

otherwise you be thinking V1 700 and V2 802 is the equivilent of V4 810 which would be a mess..or someting like that
Bang on Garry  the latest releases are all V4 as are the F27s and will be the Vanguard, just to use as a timestamp.

On that subject the Dart 6 panels (VC700 and 802) have a JPT fault , which only manifested itself when I did a start at an OAT of +9.c the other day, which will cause the JPT indicators to stick at 280'C. I have fixed it and the patch will be available at classicbritishfiles and flightsim. com in the next couple of days. Viscount 810 and other Dart 7's are not affected. Meantime there should be no problem so long as the OATb at start is 13'C or greater.

Cheers

Hi Fraser

Thanks for confirming that..it seemed a very logical way to match them and very good thinking on your part.

Thanks for the HU on the patch.

Hello

Am having an issue with some of Garry's repaints for the Viscount 800 - not sure as to whether its my settings or what

e.g. the BMA viscount 814 (fs9814BMA2.zip) has see through engines at dawn and dusk and no textures at all at night.

I have tried copying the file eng_lm.bmp from Rick's original release which has fixed the transparent engines, but am stumped as to how to fix the night textures

Can anyone help?

Thanks Fraser for the new Viscount panels - it has finally weaned me off flying the Budgie!

regards
Simon

p.s. found this on the net regarding said aircraft. There's a Wessex down there as well

Hi Simon

It sounds like you are using the old model

Does yours have opening doors?

Hi Garry

Thanks for your prompt reply. No the doors don't open.

The original release I have on my pc is from Rick's site VISC800.ZIP dated 12/9/2005. In that zip, the model file is FSDS Vickers Viscount 800.mdl dated 1/12/2002.

I presume that I must have an old file?

regards
Simon

You do and thats why you can't see the night textures as it is a different system on the later model

Hi Garry

Have just downloaded the files from both Rick's site and Classic British files site. They appear identical. Can't find any model update save the one dated 7/12/2002 which is the one I am having the issue with.

Any idea where I can locate this update?

thanks
Simon
