Hi Kikko,
The same basic shape with inline engines used by Hawker was more or less used for the Hawker Hart, Hornet, Fury, Nimrod, Demon, Osprey, Audax, Hardy, PV3, Hartbee and the Hind.
Must have been a tad awkward to identify between most of them from any great distance...
Regards.

Well, the Hornet, Fury and the Nimrod would probably have been a bit easier, as they were single seaters. With most of the others the differences tended to be quite subtle, although later Demons had a rather obvious 'turret' in the aft position and, I believe, most of the Audax (Audaxes? Audaxi?) had pierced engine cowlings for additional cooling.
Could be wrong of course.

Many a true word etc. Apparently the first drawings for what eventually became the Hurricane were labelled "Fury Monoplane".

Likewise the Henley and Hotspur (the Hawker one, not the glider).
