Hi Toby..
Do the F3's (or at least some of em) live at Leuchars anyway?? Also, you tend to find that the RAF pull things 'out of the bag' when they do shows at their own bases. I think that what UKMIL was getting as was that there would be no F3's at 'Civvie' shows and this has thus far proven to be about right I think

Hi Toby. DB is spot on, Leuchars is a large F3 base. The Diamond 9 was to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of both 43 and 56 Sqn, although the aircraft in the 9 were made up from 43, 56 and 111 sqn.
Just checked my camera (which is the same as DB's) but the spots are actually on the lens! :doho: Hence way the don't appear on the statics shots as I changed lenses.

Hadnt thought about them actually being there already.... then again I thought hours on the F.3 airframes were precious these days since the sand timer is running out (seems daft to me as I'm sure they'd eb good for a few more if only the paperwork allowed it
Re the dust spots... I guess when you get stuff like that showing up, you automatically think CCD these days. It will be a lot easier to clean up your lens so long as the dust is on an outer element and not between elements.

The Hind was Czech, as was the F16
The silver and black F16 was actually Dutch, the grey one was Belgian.

Hi Flash,
I know it says it was Dutch in the program, but I assumed that was an error as it is wearing the Czech Roundals?

The Czech roundel is very similar to the Dutch one; the one the RNLAF use has a small orange circle in the middle.
You can see it on the large version of this picture:
