A few more Vikings for now
I will have another go sometime.
Some repeat but I leave them in as it's easier at those stage and lets you know the genuine operators on that route if you wanted several base at one end or the other.
Continue with the list following of From BEA
Again not much is mentioned eg. “Channel flew to Holiday makers in Viking to the Med and the Channel Islandsâ€

Hiya Dave
Stavanger was a regular charter route for boat crew changes..Southend probably acting for London Docks in those cases.
A lot of those routes for channel were shared with Daks according to the bumf.....certainly looking at them I would have thought so
The Daks of Channel Certainly did the Southend to Guernsey, Jersey, Rotterdam, Ostend.
TBH Channel tended to use all types on all routes if the airport could take it.
The DC-4 was suppose to be on the Air bridge Southend Ostend but did do the odd CI for example.
Even airlines that had Viking rather than Daks would almost certainly been in direct competition with others that did especially on main routes.

Opppppppppps
I didn't make it clear that is a continuation of Viking routes with known Dakota reference.
The more I see it the more it appears like I said above somewhere that as long as the type could operate into the airport then they would both have been there at one tiome.
The Dak was better a grass fields than the Viking so it's a pretty safe bet on Daks flying Viking routes.......maybe so so sure the other way round.

Garry..
Re the DC3 routes Jer-Portsmouth and Gue-Portsmouth.. would it be fair to assume that Vikings did these routes also??
