Dave,

I can usually switch between Rotary and Fixed wing and not really notice the effect of sliders set as Grum said. The only thing I would change is if you are flying say the Real Air Spit and you want to spin than I think you would have to put the General Slider back up to max.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
Well I usually put the general slider back up to max, however when I've forgotten to do so I haven't noticed any adverse effects with fixed wings.
I kept the sensitivities at max and the null zones to very nearly zero, but purely because I'd got used to the set up on my joystick (an X45).
When I tried this set up I hadn't tried helos for well over a year, so I can
imagine that my general ability (such as it is!!!) could well have improved and therefore the ' general' slider setting may not have as big an effect as I've been thinking, although to be fair the article did say this setting was important ...I'll experiment.
I do find high sensitivities and small null zones a big help with small, instant adjustments, often just a squeeze on the stick, but it's going to depend on your particular stick and style I suspect.
Bit waffley, but hope that's of interest.
