Great to see they painted their Concorde in the original BA.
Can't stand that final BA paint job. Gently flowing material & ribbons on an aeroplane that does Mach 2 !? NO!! Straight lines please. :tuttut:

I'll have to get over to Brooklands again sometime this year.
All this old man talk makes me want to take Dad (74) for a day out before they scrap him.

Is there a best day to visit Brooklands?
Do they open all the aircraft each day?

Hello Mate,

I think that one day is pretty much like any other there. Aircraft crewing depends (as always) on who turns up but you should be ok with SYD and A-40.. good odd's on APIM and fair to middling on APEP. I've not seen the Varsity open at all during the week since it moved to it's present position so I guess Sat/Sun would be a good bet as I don't get to go out on weekends very often

They are open 7 days a week now DM so get the old boy down there any time you can.

oh.. I nearly forgot, you should be able to get onboard DeltaGolf too!

For the benefit of Garry, theres a shot here that shows the BA titles

For anyone that ever needs that typeface, I have found that Aldine 721 is a very close match, if not "it". Aldine 721 bold does for the 1981 and later "British" titles.
