Andy, the warranty on the X52 is two years, so you're well within it. And I've heard from other users that they are very helpful in replacing faulty sticks and/or sending out spare parts.

Honestly, my X52 can be flown with finger and thumb all night without any strain at all, so maybe they could send you a replacement spring.

Write or give them a ring, mate.

I had an x45,and that had a stiff spring at first,but did you know that it can be adjusted,by rotating the spring,i admit it is only a slight adjustment,but it can be done,i would think that the x52 will be similar on that part.

Although I am now re-using my old Sidewinder Force Feedback one, If you can't stretch above £50, (Although the X-52 from what I've seen seems worth it!), then I would recommend the Saitek Cyborg Force, Its USB, has 9 buttons, a pov hat, rudder and throttles.

Plus, if your a leftie like me, then it works just as well with either hand, well, as good as the hand flying it anyway.

Can I ask how you have managed to connect your Sindwinder FF1 ?

My sim PC is USB only. :think:

I bought a soundcard recently which had a gameport in, and decided to see if the FF1 would work, plugged it in, and XP recognised it instantly, and it worked.

Guess I was lucky really.

Seeing as a few of you have the X52, maybe you can help me solve a little problem. :think:

I need to recalibrate the throttle, as it seems to have got itself to the point where the lowest it will go is about 5% thrust, even with the throttle all the way back. Saitek haven't been a huge amount of help, wondered if anybody had any ideas?

If the progaming is the same as the x45,then you can set the position where the throttle is 0% and below that the rev thrust comes in.
in the x45 you could open a programming calibration programe,and it was self evident in the most part,but it came with an electronic manual pdf file.
Also you can go to fs9 settings sensitivity page and also set the throttles and other flying controls there. hope this helps you sort it out.

This works well on the X45 and am sure it will fix your X52!!
