First I've heard of it being free, I thought you had to pay for it
You're absolutely right Dave. I've no idea how much it cost but have just found an email saying 'thank you for purchasing it'
At this point, it may well be that the J is included in the release package, from JustJoking if not from Captain Sim. Worth checking out before you add to basket

I vaguely remember something about it Toby but can find nothing here.
Paul.. the JustFlight pack doesn't contain the 'J' model so it's gonna be a pretty stiff premium having to buy the base pack first then the 'J' addon. I don't know if CS will sell the 'J' as a standalone product but I doubt it somehow.

Closest thing to a twin engine C-130 I have heard of is the C-27J Spartan, an upgraded version of the Alenia G.222, was developed by Lockheed Martin and Alenia. It shares engines and avionics with the C-130J.
The pictues if it looka lot like the fairchild C-123.

The Transall was a joint France/Germany project from some time back.
Many of the German ones have since gone to Turkey.
France had some more recent Transalls (New Generation - where have I heard that before?)

There was a twin engine Hercules proposed but apart from a few artist impresions it got no further.
