It was built by North American

So it really should be on the CNB forum

CNB indeed, but definitely made in the British Empire as well, some were built by Noorduyn Aviation and Canadian Car and Foundry too.

And Lawrence Wacketts' Commonwealth Aircraft Company (CAC) in Australia used it as the base for a modified model known as the Wirraway,
and the later Boomerang.

I see what you are saying Pete but DHC and Canadair are not accepted as British.

So I based that comment on that.

If it were down to numbers used in the UK then Cessnas and Pipers would be as well

Personally I would accept aircraft like the Canadair Four as British even more so the CL-44 and Argus which were based on the Britannia but it is not here.

Well it's not the RAF, but it is 'Qinetic' : the civilian contractor for all the MoD's Test, Trials and Research Duties.

Well it is the RAF (half the time), on its military serial, KF183...

...I've a "special" relationship with it - it's the only aircraft I've groundlooped (slow speed)!

To be fair, it's the only tailwheel aircraft I've taxied! It's very nice. Cockpit is fairly (1940s) stock, with the addition of a radio or two...
