This said I have a Southampton University Mechanical Engineers t-shirt with "With greased nipples and tight nuts we can do anything" printed on the back :redface:
Wasnt my idea... my entry was far cruder... something to do with splined shafts and muff couplings but we wont go there :redface:

Thanks for posting these, it confirms a blurry childhood memory of a General Aviation hanger being where Runway 2 is now. I assume they just demolished it then?
