If there are no wild boars, you could always take up small bore shooting

Eddie I used to go mountain biking in Germany, the Hartz Mountains was a favourite venue, and the resulting booze ups in Bad Hartzberg seem to be dim memories LOL

Sounds like heaven Sean. I have been on a few booze ups myself - post bike ride. You always seem to get p****d quicker for some reason. I'm usually gone after two..! :partyman: :sleepy:

Nice!

I know the area well. Even recognised some bits on the Moors Murders drama the other week.

Its quite disheartening to plod up to Chew Reservoir, and to find that it only takes you a third of the time to get back down!

Yes very true. Although it is quite a rewarding climb that one. I must admit at the top I am looking around for my lungs which have usually fallen out somewhere along the track. The views from up there are truely spectacular and I can spend hours up there with me thoughts.

Its also on the main flight path into EGCC so you see many aircraft circling around preparing for the ILS approach into Manchester.

if I could swap with you then I would! Trust me. I get sick of looking at sheep & pheasants. Gimme a rattlesnake and a couple of wild boars anyday..

If you want the wild boar you need to come down sarf; apparently the New Forest is overrun with the little bleeders.

English countryside is meant to be rained on.

That looks like a good quality piece of kit there, how much did it set you back?
