Looking for a b727

From what I have seen from the screen shots the panel isn't that good in 2d. I have Vol 2 with the L1011, DC10 and DC8 and its not bad, but not brilliant!
Also as far as I can remember the VC panel in the Captain Sim package is not clickable, so it's a bit useless for flying!

Onwards and Upwards!!!!!!!!

Jetty!
If God had of meant us to fly, he would have given us wings! He did, it's called an aeroplane!

The Captain Sim 727 was actually the first piece of payware I ever bought. It's still a decent package, but the Dreamfleet 727 is leagues better in almost every respect....particularly the flight modeling and panel readability. If you're looking for a decent 727, I'd go for the Dreamfleet one....no question. Be forewarned that the ole 'Ctrl+E' shortcut won't work with the Dreamfleet model (it does work on the Captain Sim model).
I can't think of any freeware 72s with VCs, though.

Well the DF model in particular has very realistic systems on it, but (depending on how much you already know and how quickly you learn) it shouldn't take too long to get it from cold and dark to ready to depart - I have found that there are a lot of systems on there, but they're mostly quite easy to understand and use.blanston12 wrote: One thing I worry about the payware packages is that sometimes they are a little too realistic, I never cared for going through pages of instructions just to start the engines.

Just to follow up, I ended up getting the DreamFleet version last night and I am still struggling to figure everything out. The reasons I picked it were first that the comments from those who had tried both favored the DreamFleet and I could find some PSA liveries already made for it. (PSA was an airline that operated lots of 727's in California before they were swallowed by US Air).
It took me half an hour just to figure out how to turn the autopilot on but I think I have figured it out now. Still trying to figure out fuel management, I tried two long flights so far, the first one I was about 2/3 across the Continent and two of the engines quit, I was able to link in the side tanks and get them restarted. The second time I opened all the cross link valves, and when the center tank emptied, all the engines shut down even though there was still fuel in the side tanks. After messing with all the switches for a while I finally pressed CTRL-E and they restarted. And I still can't figure out how to turn on the TCAS once its off. I guess I am just spoiled with all these great flight sim AC where you can just get in and fly.
