Sorry if I've come into this thread so late. I bought Ground Environment and was fairly unimpressed. It was a step up from the default FS terrain but didn't look anywhere near as nice as the freeware reality packs. I also suffered from horrendous "blocking" of textures when it was installed, with only a short distance around my aircraft being rendered, and everything in the distance being displayed as a fuzzy mess.
I know it's not meant to, but because some of the textures are 'common' my 'BEV' installation has improved my whole set up, inc the UK and they're working on specific European textures at the moment I believe.

The textures are a little better then stock FS9 but the autogen is far superior. Its far more dense and cities actually look like cities.
A bit late, but you can see what I mean here:

I can see the distant blurring problem I had in those screenshots, glad to know I'm not the only one. I think it is present all the time, for me it is just much more apparent with GE installed.jonesey2k wrote:The textures are a little better then stock FS9 but the autogen is far superior. CB,
I use GE and FE and took a few shots in my area today...but no cities here...
The other shots are here:-

But I don't think they will really answer your query
