Well I did go and I was on the first flight out on the Rapide this morning and its a great experience, thoroughly enjoyed it  Also met Trev (again), Tom E and a guy who taught me maths when I was about 10!

Heres a 4 minute long video of startup, taxi, takeoff, climbout, final approach and landing (~25mb)

Nice one Toby. As you read this I'm still at the office, so it looks like I'll miss out... unless they're there tomorrow?

Anyone know?

Thanks

John

Nice little video Toby, I actually saw my old house at Summersdale! I too got airbourne (unexpectedly, due to a last minute cancellation, thanks a million Tom  ) and have put a few shots in the gallery. The old Prentice still feels like a comforting old rice pudding of an aircraft

Thanks for that Toby. It must be 20 years since I've been in a Rapide

Having been on one now, I must say that DG's model does look and "feel" just about spot on. Its one thing to see that its a good representation by comparing it to photos, but when you fly on something and see it from all the different perspectives you cant get from a photo, it does make the whole thing that much more emmersive.

Simply Gorgeous Toby

The only thing that was missing (au usual) was the smell - but my memory
could supply that very easily - the sound was amazingly good.

Tom its funny how you notice little things - the stitching on the side liner
looks emmaculate , the paintwork - she is obviously a work of love and
devotion - thanks to both you and Toby - for a few minutes I put my
headset on and the temprature dropped 10 degrees C and it felt like
home

Cheers
