Little Nav Map is your friend.

If you still want to install FSX, you could try the Steam version., it's only £3.99 at the moment.

Seconded for LittleNavMap. It was actually Dave who put me onto it, and I don't fly without it, it's superb and supports everything up to and including MSFS. I think it even does xPlane too.

I'll third Little Navmap, I've used it for years and like Ben said I wouldn't fly without it.

Back with some questions.
Little Navmap - I have FSX Steam (32 bit) and PsD 6 (64 bit) will the 32 bit version work for both sims?
I always knew I didn't like Win 11, but now that I have got it I realise that I hate it more than I realised!
The "start menu" WTF have they done to that? so much functionality has disappeared!
Where are my basic Windows games? I used to love playing Minesweeper and Solitaire.
Why do I have to ryn so many things "as administrator" to get them to work properly?
Seriously frustrated!

LNM should work ok with both Sims as it's an independent program.
Personally, I don't mind Win 11 generally, although you're right about the start menu. I replaced mine with Start 11 from Stardock,

I do not think so but I can be wrong. P3D v6 is basically 64 bit therefore would need 64 bit version of Little Navmap

According to the info on the LNM website, the 32bit version is for FSX & P3d, & the 64bit version for MSFS & XPlane.
I'd just try the 32 bit version, & if that doesn't work with P3d, try the 64bit version. Apparently you can install both at the same time and they share the same database.

Well I'm on Win 11 now (managed to get the start menu to work like Win7 used to)
I haven't added anything to P3D V6 yet because I haven't yet found any suitable classic airliners for it.
I have installed FSX Steam, got a few aircraft working, but so far I cannot get my CH Throttle quadrant to work smoothly in it.
Quadrant is quite old, but it worked reasonably well on old PC with W7 and FSX.
Is it just getting long in the tooth and I need to dig deep and replace it, or does anyone have any other ideas?
I have tried the throttles being controlled by FSXSE, deleting those axis assignments and running through FSUIPC direct to FS and also running through FSUIPC calibration.
So far they are all well below par for smooth throttle operation from idle to TOGA, haven't even tried reverse yet!

LittleNavMap, I've been trying it.
Is there any way to make it connect to the aircraft autopilot for lateral (or vertical) navigation?
I find it "buggy" that it doesn't automatically insert the SID/STAR waypoints in the plan for exporting.

Hi Ady,
Can’t comment on using LNM in that way. As for the throttles, what i can say is if you go to the run bar and type:- joy.cpl it will bring up the old style windows controller calibration utility. If the movements are jumpy or not as expected in there, then its probably on the way out. At least thats what I’ve found. Its a much easier way to check than firing up a simulator.
