Yet another TLA! :agree: EricT
No, it's another TLI. I refer you to the pedantry above. ;)

So does that make the TSR2 an ETLA (extended three letter acronym)? *-)

It's not an acronym at all. TSR is an initialism - you say each letter individually.

An acronym is where the initial letters form a new word, which then comes into common usage; NASA for example, or SCUBA, or NATO.

Take the Royal Air Force - R.A.F is an intialism, while the word RAF ( pronounced 'Raff' ) is an acronym. :)

Must be. The first thing that came to my mind was 'goto' statements that I first saw back in the 80's.

Can't believe that some had to look up kewpie doll; they were the basic travelling fairground prize for a long time, cheap dressed, or with moulded on dress, sometimes covered in glitter, and often attached to a stick/cane. If you went to the fair with a girl, she always wanted one as a memento, so if you didn't win one, you bought one.
Pete got it right, but doesn't want the prize :(

(Anyway, feel free to talk among yourselves)

*-) Sounds like a girlfriend I used to know! :agree: EricT :)
ps a TLA is a Three Letter Abbreviation, I realise it’s not an acronym. :)
