No I am not into cryptic crosswords. A time thing really. In my first job we used to do a subject to death with puns as a form of banter so I picked it up from there. However I had an English Lecturer who gave me a love of words and got a failing pupil a Grade 1 O level English Langusage in one and a half terms. So that helped together with a dreadful dry sense of humour.
