I am still on FSX-SE and not unhappy with it. I have seen the discussions about FSW and P3Dv4 and think the choice depends on how much longer I want to keep FSX-SE. If I wanted to replace FSX now or asap, P3Dv4 would be the best option. It is obviously much more matured than FSW and has more options and features than good old FSX. Also, several devs who said they are hesitant or even reluctant to support FSW do say they will support P3Dv4 (e.g. Milviz, Aerosoft, PDMG).
On the other hand, FSX-SE is still working quite well, I can wait a year or more hoping DTG are able to improve FSW, add options/features which are missing right now and get more 3rd party add on devs on board.

The Rapide should work OK without any alteration, assuming v4 can still use FSX format MDLs.
The Auster uses a freeware sound gauge which probably won't work, but it can be disabled, you would just lose some custom sounds. I'll replace it if a v4 compatible version becomes available.
I think all my others just use XML gauges so should be fine as well.

Obviously I'll have to wait until I get my hands on v4 to be sure though.
Thanks very much, Dave. I'd like to have those two in particular if I move to P3Dv4, which is pretty likely.

Forming an orderly queue as we speak.

Will it be like FSW? :hide:

Yes I'm inclined to think this is the way forward especially as the main players have announced free upgrades of their wares.

Pete Dowson had confirmed FSUIPC 5.
New purchase, but worth it IMHO.

I think DG has just got his hands on a 970 Ben.

You star Dave! Your aircraft are always go-to for me. I'd love to think I can keep flying the Auster in v4.

How about your Hunters in v4?
