Hope you're going to release it

Dave, I couldnt find that many photos either, not even in my BEA books, except for that well known postcard issued by the airline, which is a profile view.
I used that, and ( please dont mock me!) a 1:200 model purchased many moons ago in the UK, at Collectors Aircraft Models, at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel, Bathroad! My favorite place to visit, and...to buy my models from! Like those beautiful Westerns...seems like it was only yesterday....and 20 years have passed.... :worried:

So among my Hp42s, Princesses and Ambassadors, Sunderlands, Argonauts and Vikings and Viscounts, Dart Heralds and VC-10s, Tridents and so on, I have this little jewel -the Anson, in BEA colours!
Heck, even my computer room has a BEA wall with pictures and old posters!;-)

I have faith that the person or persons behind these models knew what they were doing, I trust they had good research, and hopefully had more data/information that I could find.
Here she is, in 1:200, the little bird Im using to have this repaint done! :)

I know accuracy is paramount, so given this situation, I still hope you like it when its done, ( doing a "proper" BEA cabin interior next...
Im doing the registration in that aircraft in the postcard though.

As for uploading, well, dont think I ever have, not even sure how its done....so I may email you the painted files, and you could be the one uploading my repaints here? Id be honoured!;-)

Yes.. I know that little model. I don't have it but have been tempted many times

God strewth.. I have all the Profile series and I never thought of checking that :wall:

I wish I had access to our library here. Ben was (and still is) in charge of the library and RW difficulties mean he doesn't have the time to spend here he once did. What I CAN do is.. if you can send me the paint once it's done, I can upload it to my space here and send you a link back. You can then 'release' it in the Repaint forum

Dave, sorry, I just wrote that....but getting the links copied and pasted from Photobucket is a nightmare using an ipad....or maybe its just me being too slow!;-)
No problems uploading it here, I dont plan uploading it anywhere anyway.
My pleasure doing it here. So the same goes for the Jetstreams if you dont mind?!
I used to have an account for the G. Mallard, silly me, forgot about it...not sure I can login again....maybe I need to register again...Dropbox it was called...mmmhh....have to see to that again soon.

Ps....still my favorite aircraft, and livery! Had the good fortune to find her in Southampton, and she flew back to Portugal with me, in Business Class, naturally! The model, not me!
Still my BEA pièce de resistance;

Thank you Dave for the help, mwhich is truly appreciated.
A museum, he? Not a bad idea....I love the airline, the red square logo is still beautiful, its aircraft, the publicity films they used to make in those days! Cleared to Land and Flightplan among my favorites!;-) bought the VHS tapes too...shame they dont release them in dvds.... saw there were some records, from a visit to Brooklands, on display inside the Viscount...came home and looked for them, found them, purchased them, had to go buy a record player, so I did, made a small film and shared the files for everybody to hear, these things for me are priceless!!!!!
Still here if you care to listen ;-)

Can spend a rainy afternoon watching over and over those Dvds, Bea story, Boac, Look at Life, and so on....my love for British Aviation and so many things British in fact has taken me to visit places Id never expect. Like flying in that classic two years agin, in Duxford ; the Dragon Rapide! What an experience! Among the best 20 minutes of my life!
And then of course, FS...helps me to revive this passion for flying things!;-)
Like the rest of us here Im sure.
Sorry, got carried away...again... like a froend of mine in Maidenhead likes to call me, " Rui, youre such a chatterbox!" I know, I am!!!!!! 8)

I love those models, they are two which I never got round to buying all those years ago. I bought mine either from the Aviation Model shop run at that time by Steve Gensler at East Mids, or from collectors fairs at the same airport. I also bought some by post from CAM. I'm not at home until tomorrow but IIRC those that I have in BEA livery are the DC3, Ambassador, Viscount and Vanguard which wears the red square livery.
Dave, when we moved up here almost 10 years ago, we had to get rid of what SWMBO referred to as clutter included in which were a few copies of Profile which I had and after posting on here I ended up by sending them to DelP. I can't remember them all but they would have included the Viscount and probably the DAK. :) EricT

The list is extensive Eric.. there over 200 if memory serves :-O I've a few printed versions but I also have the entire set on DVD which is very useful.. if and when I remember I have them

Re the little models.. I've a shed load of Vangaurds, a 1:500 BEA Viscount plus assorted VC10's, a Trident and a 1-11. There may be more.. I can't remember. For a while, I began collecting airport buses and vehicles too.. not something I usually admit in public  I really wanted this one.. http://www.londonbusmuseum.com/wp-conte ... C00035.jpg which was produced as a special run for the bus museum at Brooklands but they wanted over £60 and I couldn't justify that sort of outlay.

Nice pic Dave. Confession time, in the 80s and 90s I strarted collecting model buses and coaches from the likes of EFE and Corgi. At the same time I started buying a number of plastic construction kits of aircraft such as the Connie and Super Connie, Curtiss C46 ,Boeing247, DC7 DC3,Rapide etc etc which to be honest I didn't really intend building. It was probably indulging in a boyhood dream of owning such things from a time when buying them was completely out of the question. In the 60s I bought a kit of a Viscount made by the German company Faller which I intended to build but never got round to it.
As with the Profiles I mentioned earlier, I parted with them all before moving up here. However I had no intention of parting with my diecast aircraft modelsI They sit in a display cabinet in our second bedroom next to my pc.
Unfortunately the little rubber tyres on some of them have started to break up.Ah memories. :agree: EricT
