I think 'Russians' is fair to use, it does have a Russian flag on its tail after all.

each with a civilian variant of the AW101 Merlin shrink wrapped in white plastic like they do with expensive cars on the back
Probably Sikorsky S-92 rather than Merlin, the only civil operator of the AW101 is the Tokyo Police. They look pretty similar when stripped down for transport.
