EDIT: I've just had a look on both PCAviator and PCAviator.au and it's not showing on either. TBH.. I didn't think it was one that had 'gone over' to Virtavia after Alphasim closed but there you go.

Have e-mailed Virtavia, but might not have been the right e-mail haha looks unlikely I will get her though. Cheers for the help anyways :)

emfrat wrote:Weird - Google must be picking up an old cached page from somewhere. I searched on fsx tsr2 and the link I posted came up on page 3.
Checking back through my emails, I actually bought it on Dec 17 2013. Time really flies these days :worried:

Sorry to disappoint you, Henry.

Hi Mike, Paul from Virtavia allowed me to download the TSR.2 and I have added it to FSX but I have no idea how to add it to the aircraft folder not sim objects/airplanes and use it, as it does not work correctly right now, can you help? Cheers.

Where it is will make no difference to how it works matey.

When you say 'Paul' from Virtavia let you download it.. I take it you mean Phil. Where exactly did you download it from? If it was Virtavia's freeware site.. it's probably the FS02/CFS2 model.. not the FS9 model. Did it say which sim it was for when you installed it? What do you mean by it doesn't work correctly at the moment? So many questions :lol: I have the FS9 model. I'll try it in FSX this evening.

EDIT: The old model works but it needs some coaxing. Also.. you have to change the render 3D window line in the panel.cfg from 1 to 0 (zero).

Yes I meant Phil! Its the FS9 model I was allowed to download. Haha sorry im not being specific! Well you put full power on and, it powers down the runway but so slowly and your lucky if you take off, the reheat is coming from the middle of the engine intakes not the back, it veers to the left and when I switch views I get some parts of the cockpit view still around my current view.

OK.. that confirms it's (probably) the same model I have.

I noticed the takeoff roll in FSX is a little 'lack lustre' though I didn't use reheat until in the air. I saw the reheat effect coming out of the back ok *-) I don't see it veering in any direction when goofing nor do I see bits of the panel remaining in view while all this is going on. Very odd. I don't remember the inside looking as poor as it does now though to be honest.. I never used VC's in FS9.

I've reinstalled it and changed that line and now there is no issue with the panels and cockpit etc. About to try and fly the bird.

Still a lost cause flying wise. Reheat still happens in the middle of engines and she veers to the left still. Very odd.

Henry - I once came across an aircraft where a typo in the cfg was telling FS that both engines were on the same side of the plane :-O

These numbers are from the aircraft cfg of the 2006 model, which I am using in FSX+Acc. How do yours compare?

[GeneralEngineData]
engine_type = 1
Engine.0 = -20, -2.28, -2
Engine.1 = -20, 2.28, -2
fuel_flow_scalar = 1
min_throttle_limit = -0.25

//----------------enginelightandreheat----------------------------------------------
light.4= 9, -27.5, -2.28, 0.0, fx_TSR2_reheat , // Eng1 reheat
light.5= 8, -27.5, 2.28, 0.0, fx_TSR2_reheat , // Eng2 reheat
light.6= 6, -25.50, 2.28, 0.0, fx_TSR2_smoke , // Eng1 Smoke
light.7= 1, -25.50, -2.28, 0.0, fx_TSR2_smoke , // Eng2 Smoke

My lines are exactly the same :( Plus I cannot get it to appear in the 'Aircraft' folder
