Oh umm
Odd, but I was doing a little touring in a Tiger Moth in the Cen Vic vicinity and somehow fell into a pit of quicksand at one of the airports there.
I runs up the engine and wiggled out and got airborne ....
anyway , just wanted to say, nice try... >> :) <<

Here is my movie made with Bandicam & M$ Movie maker. its about 16 mins & made from 3 recordings, (so its a big file) one of them the full 10 mins.
Hope the link works
Keith

P.S. Had to reduce the quality because my original was too big for dropbox, plus it would take over 8 hours to upload!
I must try to re-upload my Meteor U16 to youtube again.

Joe, you never fail to confuse me, ol' pal!
I see what happened in your sandpit, but I don't follow what you're saying. :S :dunno:
I said that I didn't know you could save I.R.

Whoever built that airfield needs a good smack, even if that is politically incorrect these days.

Anyway, I've d/l FRAPS and Bandicut, both unregistered. I now see that I do have sound, and I can cut bits off.
Whether I can re-join them I don't know yet. :worried:

Aha! Now Keith has done another post while I've been writing. Yes, that's another good thing, Keith - 10 minute sequences.
I'll flex those MSMM buttons soonish. ;)

Have to plant some native shrubs while there's a spot of fine weather.
This has been the coldest start to Victorian Winter since 1949. [and that's official]

Here's an old NS Viscount video I've been trying to make. Note that after landing, I tried to take an exit to the left; somehow, I managed to unintentionally recreate Northeast Flight 552 while trying to take an exit.

Because of that, I'm going to have to remake this video from scratch.

Oh, and speaking of videos, some of my future projects include Redcoat Flight 103 and Northeast Airlines Flight 552.

Thanks Keith,
Yup, the link worked nicely. Good to see your video.
You did all the right pre-flight checks too :thumbsup:
I don't recall FS9 doing those red glowing circles around mouse clicks, I might have to check that out.

FS10etc: Couldn't you cheat by deleting the offending frames, and re-do it from the mistake onwards?

What's that, you don't like cheating? Being a perfectionist can overload your system, so don't take everything too seriously. ;)

The mouse click rings are a feature of Bandicam, you can also have them solid & change colours. There are some checks that I forgot on shutdown IIRC!
That video was created for the owner of that Proctor that is currently in rebuild over in Essex & who does not have FS9 or FSX.
I'm currently trying to edit a video of my Dragonfly, but I'm looking for a free programme that will allow me to crop the frame, so far two have failed either by crashing or not seemingly having a button to press to save it. One more is under test! Will keep you posted.

Well, the last time I "cheated" was on a video I made after the Viscount one.
But don't worry, I've still enough space!

Update on my video editing quest. Have tried a Lightworks free program that will crop the frames of a video, but unfortunately it will only save the result as a 720p quality, so not as good as leaving it at the Bandicam quality. So I have now re-recorded the movie at full screen & then edited & sliced using WMM & saved for youtube MP4. Tomorrow I will try to upload to youtube 'cos its too late tonight...it wants 100 mins to upload for a 11 minute video...hope its faster tomorrow.
Will post link when done.

Look forward to it Keith.
My efforts with WMM were dismal, it clipped sequences for me, but then told me that they were wrong format.
Don't understand, as they started as AVI and all WMM did was remove unwanted frames.
Used Bandicut instead, and that worked better. I could merge segments from one clip, but not from multiple clips.
I think it's because of it being trial version.

Yes, although you could record the flight live, you'll record the changing of the camera views. zooming, panning etc.
you can record the flight with Flight Video under Options in MSFS. Or you could use FS Recorder , which has more options than MSFS Flight Video. FS Recorder is free , but i'll cost you a few fps

FYI , - UYK
if you want to get all the red text off the screen , add the following line to your FSX.cfg file, in the [MAIN} section.

HIDEINFOTEXT=1

if you want it back change the 1 to a 0 (zero)

example

[Main]
FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.15
User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter
SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes
SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft
SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles
SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats
SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals
SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc
ProcSpeed=4625
PerfBucket=7
Location=216,128,1073,648,\\.\DISPLAY1
Maximized=0
HideMenuNormal=0
HideMenuFullscreen=1
HIDEINFOTEXT=1

OR you can add these lines under [Display]

InfoParkingBrakesEnable=False / or true
InfoBrakesEnable=False / or true
InfoPauseEnable=Flase / or true
InfoSlewEnable=False / or true
InfoStallEnable=False / or true
InfoOverspeedEnable=False / or true

Of course if you marked the above true and have a 1 after HIDEINFOTEXT you won't see the text

btw you can install WMM 6.0 (older version)
read all about it.
