Hello my name is Stan Unwin I have been an avid visitor to this to this forum for a number of years and have been helped from time to time when I was completely baffled, your models are excellent, so many thanks.

However I am sometimes at a loss to know what you are discussing on this you seem to post in a sort of code, this topic I assume, refers to the FSX De Havilland DH 84 Dragon Revision on Flt sim correct me if I am wrong.

Please can I respectfully ask you to be more clear on your topics so that an old (you Know what) like my self will understand what the hell you are referring to.

Stan Unwin

Stan,
This topic was originally posted to publicise the uploading & availability of the model to flightsim. There is then an update to the aircraft.cfg if you wish to fly the models in FSX as there was a very small error (a space between a zero & a decimal point) that stopped the ability to control the aircraft using ailerons!!!
As for the following banter about the Navy Lark...thats just me going off the rails at a tangent........

Not much chance of us staying on topic long here Stan. Many of us here (like me) are old fogeys and our minds wander off course with each passing breeze. :agree:
BTW chaps, I'm very pleased with the interest in the aircraft at FlightSim - passed 450 at my last peek and narry a complaint received (could be because I don't include my email addy). ;)
Cheers

Dave.. really :wall:  That would certainly do it

I'm not surprised at the interest shown mate.. it's a model that's needed doing for a long time and there are enough real ones still flying, the model was always going to be snapped up

Downloaded the release model plus revision and given it a quick flight Culdrose to Lands End.

Notice the trim is MUCH finer now.. a bit too fine me thinks but Keith should be happy  She's no longer aerobatic and I'm seeing a slight left wing down tendency.. push it over to the right.. let it settle and it will eventually start dropping the left wing. Nothing drastic and completely manageable. No obvious reason for this. Burn is equal. As I don't see any pax.. I presume none are there (a quick look at the cfg shows pilot, 6 pax plus baggage!!). Pax appear to be equidistant about the centreline fore/aft and baggage is on the CoG so that can't be it *-) As I said.. no real problem ;)

Nice one Dave

Thanks for the explanation, my post was not meant to be disrectfull just to remind you gents that although I too am an old phogey I am not too familiar with some of the jargon.

I enjoy visiting this site, I do sense the enthusiasm of your members , I thank you for your tolerence, maybe in time I will understand your jargon but i doubt if I will ever equal the expert knowlege of some of the members on Classic British Flight Sim.

To give you some idea of how old I am the first aircraft I flew in, on joining the RAF in 1965, was the Vickers Varsity at RAF Oakington, your Varsity is superb and brings back many memories.

Many thanks

Stan Unwin
