I took some snaps of the Icarus model - for comparison.

It's definitely looking a lot more rough



This is the pre-war model



Whilst the VC does look better than the FSAddon version, it still has some squeaky clean syndrome in the actual gauges, and most of the switches etc can't be operated



There are lots of nice paints for it, too, like this one





(oh no - it's that white house thing in Rev-X again! )





It includes several foreign service types, too, such as.... eh??




and I see what you mean about the speed - reaching a nice 260 KIAS in level flight



Standard price is about £2 more than the FSAddon model.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to post shots of the Icarus model The Icarus chappie is actually a member here although he came and went in a flash after their Rapide release. No need to comment why Needless to say.. we were not convinced by the Icarus Rapides shape and looking at your shots of their Gladiator.. I'm not convinced it's shape is right either. Could be the angle of your shots and/or the paint combinations as well as me having done a quick 9hr shift this morning/afternoon followed by my second can of the night. It could also be that the Icarus chap wasn't particularly receptive to constructive criticism and left with a toot on Anyhoo.. having forked out £9.46 (inc taxes) for the FSAddon model.. I'll stick with that. When I cease this mortal coil.. I shall, at any rate, come back and haunt the cr@p out of Ro.. in a good way of course

Before I go, I dropped my old cfg back into FSX and whatever it is that the Lysander install may have done (I think it adds scenery too which I've yet to look at) a quick blast around my default Culdrose in both the Bell 206 and Alpha S-55 showed the jerkiness to have gone. Darned odd that one
