Yes that did make me sad...Sierra Bravo was the chippy that I was in a syndicate to run at High Wycombe many years ago. It is in Rick's list of liveries, and I used his model with Mark Jones in the front seat and me in the back, for one of my videos. I made a couple of face transplants for it

Looking at the JF screenshots & the Video, the Chippie obviously has a fabric covered wing aft of the spar, but the video shows the fabric to balloon upwards due to the low pressure there, whereas JF have made the fabric taught so that it sinks between the ribs, there also seems to be a very coarse plain weave to the fabric that is not normally seen especially after at least two coats of red tautening dope followed by various overcoats.
(I had this sort of problem when I did my Proctor & I think I did the static ground condition of tight fabric, whereas in flight it balloons upwards!) Its difficult to animate that I think!

Well, I must say I couldn't have been looking properly, all those years ago. I could have sworn the Chipmunk had metal wings. I'm at Duxford tomorrow, so I'm going to have an extra close look at the ones that are sitting around.

Paul, the wings are metal, well the internal structure & the leading edge are metal, there is just fabric aft of the spar.

Keith, I didn't think there was any fabric at all on the Chipmunk's wings.

I had a look at a couple of them down at Duxford today, and its pretty taut across the frames - very unlike what JF are modeling, I think. Anyway, I hope they sort it out, because a brand new Chipmunk is an exciting prospect.

I'd be very interested to know what the flight model is like as much as anything else. This reminds me of the JF Tiger Moth, which looked good, but I didn't like the flight model.

Nooooooo, please don't! I urge you to continue!!! The Just Flight Tiger Moth vs Ant's freeware Tiger Moth is a great analogy... I wish I hadn't bought the JF edition as I regard Ant's (which came along later) as superior. I know your Chipmunk can be equally superior!
